Wet Curing Results in Increase Wear & Abrasion Resistance
Concrete flatwork is intended to be wear resistant. Proper curing is a proven component
in producing a high-quality slab, as it results in:
- Increased concrete strength and durability
- Reduced permeability of concrete
- Improved wear and abrasion resistance
- Reduced cracking, crazing, scaling, dusting and pop-outs
PNA introduced the inorganic curing covers in the market to improve wear resistance
through gradual and uniform hydration. By keeping the water where you want it -
on the slab - HydraCure wet curing covers provide the optimal curing environment
at an affordable price.
HydraCure S16 is a single-use curing cover is the most affordable wet curing option
when slab appearance is critical to your customer. HydraCure M5 is a multi-use
cover that can be rolled up and reused up to 20 times if rinsed and stored properly.
Design Advantages
- Non-woven, synthetic fabric traps and retains water and provides a 100 percent
humidity condition below the cover
- The smooth inorganic fibers will not disintegrate and stick to the slab surface
- Do not stain the slab, leave behind residue or rot or mildew during storage
- White UV-resistant film reflects sun's heat away from slab surface, preventing excessive heat buildup and ensuring optimal drying rates
Installation Advantages
- HydraCure covers are 50 percent lighter in base weight than organic products,
making handling and placement effortless
- HydraCure S16 has a 10.5 foot roll width, providing more than a six percent
material savings per two feet of additional roll width and reduces installation
time.
- Shipped in rolls with fabric side out makes HydraCure covers easy to roll out
